A third visit!

H.R. Waller
Date: 21 September, 2008
Time: 1500
Location: Between Collins and Olin, once more
Weather: Sprinkling, Cloudy, 61 degrees.

This area is simply too interesting to only spend one entry on! Thus, I am back again. There is a short, but wide tree on the Olin side of the side walk that has lots of obling leaves, but also has very strange looking vine things hanging down off of its branches, along with clusters of little unappetizing berries. I have never seen a tree like this one before. It appears as thought little birds have been feeding on the berries, yet there is still a plethora of berries left. This is the tree that the Dark Eyed Junco hopped to and looked like he was playing on a jungle gym, with all its scattered and random branches shooting out everywhere with plenty of leaves and vines to hide its occupants. On the ground right near this tree is a cute little shrub that looks like a smashed, and short pine tree, only 2 feet in diameter. It has needles and many branches. No two plants in this area are the same. It is a naturalist observer's paradise.
